Sometimes when making a payment with MTN MoMo, the approval prompt may not appear on your phone. Don’t worry - you can still complete your transaction by manually approving it using either the USSD menu or the MoMo App.
Approving via USSD (*170#)
Dial *170# on your phone.
Enter 6 to go to My Wallet.
Enter 3 to go to My Approvals.
Enter 1 to select My Approvals.
Enter your MoMo PIN to view your Pending Approval list.
Select the transaction.
Choose Approve to complete the payment.
Approving via the MoMo App
Log in to the MoMo App and enter your OTP.
Tap the notification icon at the top right to open My Approvals.
Under Pending, select the transaction.
Tap Approve to complete the payment.
Additional Tips
Make sure you have enough balance in your wallet.
Ensure you have strong MTN network coverage.
If you don’t see the transaction under My Approvals or the approval keeps failing, contact MTN Customer Care by dialing 100 for assistance.
