Common Mistakes to Avoid When Submitting Documents

Facing document rejection can be frustrating, especially if it affects your access to business funds. Knowing why documents get rejected can help improve your chances of credit approval with Fido. Check out the common reasons for rejection to speed up the process and reduce the risk of being denied.


Do’s

✔️Only submit required documents that are registered in your own name.

✔️Ensure that the date of issuance on your documents falls within the required validity period.

✔️Submit each document under the right category.

✔️Ensure your address on the document clearly states a valid address.

✔️Submit all pages of appointment letters and business documents as a PDF.

✔️Submit statements with a duration not less than 30 days.

✔️Tenancy agreements must be signed by both landlord/lady and tenant.

✔️Ensure that you upload only clear, readable documents.

✔️Ensure that the documents are authentic and not altered or forged.


Don’ts 

❌Do not submit password encrypted documents.

❌Do not submit expired documents or documents that do not meet the required validity period.

❌Do not submit proof of address documents under the Proof of Employment category.

❌Do not submit proof of employment documents under the Proof of Address category.

❌Do not submit selfies or images that are not required for Fido score improvement.

❌Do not submit soiled, crumpled, stained, blurred or password-protected documents.

❌Do not submit documents with missing information or incomplete details.
