Credit services menu allows customers the opportunity to repay their credit instalment, as well as apply for credit as a returning customer.
After dialing *998#, you will be presented with a screen to either enter your pin or access account services.
- This screen is to verify you're the rightful owner of the account by entering your Fido pin, as well as for fraud prevention.
- By selecting the ‘Account Services’ you will contacting our customer support team if you need any help.
Credit Services
On the credit services menu, you can apply for credit as a returning customer or repay an active credit. You can initiate payment of your outstanding credit balance. Your credit amount will be displayed together with the due date of your credit.
Repay Full Amount: Choose this option to pay off your full credit balance. This helps you to pay off credit balance including all installments that are not due for payment. Select this option to clear all your outstanding credit balance, both due for payment or earlier than scheduled.
Repay Own Amount: This option provides you with the flexibility to enter any amount you want to pay. Use this option to pay your credit earlier than scheduled. This option will not be applicable if your credit is due for payment.
- Make sure to have enough money in your mobile money wallet to enable payment.
- Confirm the mobile money wallet you want to make payment from. ( i.e, A payment wallet added in the Fido App register in your name.)
- Next, a payment prompt will be sent to your mobile money wallet for you to confirm payment.
- You will receive a prompt asking you to enter your mobile money wallet Pin to authorize payment. Afterwards, you will receive confirmation whether payment was successful or not.
Apply for credit
You can apply by typing your desired *amount or by choosing the available draw suggested to you.
Credit summary page
On this page, you should review a basic summary of the terms of your credit line based on the amount you want to draw. All charges associated with your credit will be shown on the screen. You should review:
- Your credit repayment date - expected date to pay off your credit balance
- Credit amount - how much money you are drawing.
- Commitment fee - upfront charge to be deducted from your credit amount before disbursing.
- Finance charge - total cost of the credit including interest and all related charges.
Select 1 to ‘Confirm’ and accept the credit summary.
