I am new to Fido, how do I apply

If you are a first-time Fido customer, follow these steps to apply for credit.

Step 1: Download and register on the Fido App

  1. Download the Fido App from the Google Play Store or App Store.
  2. Register with your mobile number and set a pin to secure your FIDO account.
  3. Verify your identity by capturing a photo of yourself and your Ghana card in the Fido App (view verification guide here).
  4. Complete a short survey to confirm your location.

Step 2: Calculate your Fido Score

Before proceeding with identity verification, you must first complete your Fido Score assessment. To be eligible, you need a minimum Fido Score of 277.

  1. Open the Fido App.
  2. Click on "Start Now" to complete your Fido Score survey.
  3. Ensure you attain a minimum score of 277 to proceed to the next steps.

Step 3: Apply for credit

  1. On the home page, click on the “Want More Money?” banner in the app.
  2. Click on "Upload" to submit your MTN or Telecel statement.
  3. Select your MTN or Telecel statement from your device (ensure it is in PDF format).
  4. Receive system feedback (Approved, Rejected, or Pending).
  5. You may be prompted to upload additional documents to qualify for a higher offer.
  6. For each document set selected, you will be presented with a dropdown menu to upload the required files.

Step 4: Await approval

  1. After submitting your application, wait for a response within a few minutes.

Fraud Notice: Beware of fraudsters. Fido does not request upfront payments for credit applications. Only use the official Fido App for transactions and avoid third-party agents claiming to assist with the process.
